Fitch affirms Bidvest Group

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Bidvest Group Ltd.'s national long-term rating at A+(zaf) with a stable outlook. The national short-term also is affirmed at F1(zaf).

The affirmation is strongly supported by the diversified nature of the group's business profile despite trading in challenging conditions in its key operating markets in 2009, the agency said.

Fitch said it believes the group's business risk profile remains moderately balanced for the current rating level, underpinned by the food service businesses.
