New Issue: Kazakhstan’s Alatau Zharyk sells KZT 4.46 billion 15½% five-year bonds

Morgantown, W.Va., Aug. 29 – Alatau Zharyk Co. placed KZT 4.46 billion of 15½% five-year bonds to yield 15.492% at a special trading session on Monday, according to a Kazakhstan Stock Exchange announcement.
The amount placed represents 99.2% of the issuer’s planned placement of KZT 4.5 billion of bonds.
The Almaty, Kazakhstan, electric utility registered to issue KZT 4.53 billion of the 15½% bonds on Aug. 10.
