AEP Transmission plans offering of series Q senior notes

Chicago, March 11 – AEP Transmission Co., LLC plans to sell series Q senior notes, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will feature make-whole and par call options, with the par call period starting a number of months before the maturity date.

Credit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc., Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc. and PNC Capital Markets LLC are leading the sale.

Huntington Securities, Inc. and C.L. King & Associates, Inc. are listed as co-managers.

Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA will be the trustee.

In-house counsel will advise the issuer. Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is counsel to the underwriters.

Proceeds will be used to fund a construction program and for other general corporate purposes relating to the issuer’s utility business. General corporate purposes may include redeeming debt and replenishing working capital.

The electric utility subsidiary of American Electric Power Co. Inc. is based in Columbus, Ohio.
