Fitch rates AEP Transmission notes A

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A rating to AEP Transmission Co. LLC's (AEP Transco) offering of series P senior notes. The notes are unsecured and unsubordinated obligations of AEP Transco.

The agency affirmed AEP Transco’s ratings, including its A senior unsecured rating, on Dec. 16.

AEP Transco will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures and repayment of advances from affiliates. AEP Transco had about $400 million in advances from affiliates outstanding as of Monday.

The outlook is stable.
