Moody’s: Argentine infrastructure companies to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it changed the outlooks on various infrastructure companies operating in Argentina to positive from stable and affirmed outstanding ratings.

The outlook changes for the affected companies follows the outlook change of Argentine government's B3 issuer rating outlook to positive from stable on March 6 and reflects the exposure and linkages that these companies have to the Argentine government credit quality.

The following outlooks were revised: Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 SA; Albanesi SA; Camuzzi Gas Pampeana SA; Distribuidora De Gas Cuyana SA; Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad de Salta; Empresa Distribuidora Norte SA; Empresa Provincial de Energia de Cordoba; Gas Natural BAN, SA; Generacion Mediterranea SA; Genneia SA; Hidroelectrica El Chocon SA; and Transportadora de Gas del Sur SA.

The positive outlooks mainly reflect Moody's positive outlook for Argentina's government bond rating and the agency’s view that the creditworthiness of these companies continues to be highly dependent on the credit quality of the Argentine government.
