Moody’s assigns Bank of China notes A1

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned A1 ratings to the euro-denominated three-year fixed-rate senior unsecured notes to be sold by Bank of China Ltd. Luxembourg Branch and the CNH-denominated two-year fixed-rate senior unsecured notes to be sold by Bank of China Ltd. Frankfurt Branch.

The notes will be sold under the bank’s $40 billion medium-term note program. “The assigned rating is in line with BOC's senior unsecured MTN program rating, reflecting the structure of the issuance,” Moody’s said in a press release.

The proceeds from both offerings will be used for eligible green projects.
