BGC taps Shaughnessy as managing director of environmental products

Chicago, Dec. 10 – BGC Partners, Inc. announced the appointment of Nicole Shaughnessy as managing director of environmental products at company subsidiary BGC Environmental Brokerage Services LP.

She will report to Shawn McLoughlin, senior managing director of new business development, according to a news release.

Shaughnessy has 20 years’ experience in the environmental and energy sectors, most recently as founder and president of Finerty Group. She worked for nearly 10 years at Evolution Markets in a number of roles, including managing and overseeing the company’s western emissions, renewable energy and weather derivatives divisions.

She was also a director with Natsource-Tullet, Inc. in London and a partner and natural gas broker at the company’s New York office, where she focused on gas daily swaps and options.

BGC Partners is a New York-based brokerage company servicing the financial and real estate markets.
