U.S. Trustee names three to Maxus Energy unsecured creditors committee

Pittsburgh, July 7 – Maxus Energy Corp.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Thursday by acting Region 3 U.S. trustee Andrew R. Vara, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members are Shawn T. O’Leary of Brown and Caldwell of Walnut Creek, Calif.; Willard Potter of de maximis, inc. of Clinton, N.J., representing the Lower Passaic River Study Area Cooperating Parties Group; and Mike Anderson of Occidental Chemical of Houston.

Maxus is a Houston-based subsidiary of YPF, SA, a Buenos Aires petroleum and natural gas company. Maxus filed bankruptcy on June 17 under Chapter 11 case number 16-11501.
