By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 24 - Several Berlian Laju Tanker Tbk. subsidiaries have been granted U.S. recognition of proceedings pending in the High Court of the Republic of Singapore, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

As a result of the recognition order, all previous orders made by the Singapore court will be enforced in the United States.

In addition, the bankruptcy court entered an injunction against all lawsuits and creditor actions in the United States.

Several PT Berlian Laju Tanker subsidiaries, including Chembulk New York Pte. Ltd., filed Chapter 15 bankruptcy cases on March 14 to seek foreign recognition of the Singapore proceedings.

Berlian Laju Tanker is a Jakarta, Indonesia-based shipping company. Chembulk is based in Cendex Centre, Singapore. The Chapter 15 case number is 12-11007.
