Sheehan Pipeline Construction gets 30 more days to solicit plan votes

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Nov. 14 – Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Co. obtained approval of an extension of the exclusive period for soliciting votes on its Chapter 11 plan by 30 days to Dec. 14, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.

As previously reported, Sheehan filed its plan of liquidation on Sept. 14.

The company said it is in the process of soliciting votes on the plan. The deadline for creditors to vote on the plan is Nov. 25, and the plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for Dec. 6.

“In order to complete the balloting and confirmation process within the exclusive period, debtor, in an abundance of caution, seeks an extension of the exclusive period in which to gain acceptance of a Chapter 11 plan,” Sheehan said in the motion.

Sheehan, a Tulsa, Okla.-based pipeline construction company, filed for bankruptcy on April 15, 2016. The Chapter 11 case number is 16-10678.
