Moody’s assigns Signature Bank Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned first-time ratings to Signature Bank, including a long-term issuer rating of Baa2, and a standalone baseline credit assessment of baa1. The rating outlook is stable.

“Signature Bank’s baa1 BCA reflects its strong balance sheet characterized by good asset quality, high capitalization, and solid core deposit funding, along with a history of consistent good profitability underpinned by better than peer average operational efficiency and low credit costs,” Moody’s said in a press release.
