Buffets U.S. trustee appoints seven to unsecured creditors committee

Pittsburgh, March 21 – Buffets LLC’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Monday by Region 7 U.S. trustee Judy A. Robbins, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas.

The committee is comprised of Daniel Van Eerden of Van Eerden Foodservice Co. of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Kyle J. Long of Scottsbluff, Neb.; Bryce King of North Salt Lake, Utah; Kirk R. Carson, representing Realty Income Corp. of San Diego; Kendra A. Jones of Windstream, based in Little Rock, Ark.; Mary DeYoung of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. of Alpharetta, Ga.; and John Fahey of Edward Don & Co. of Woodridge, Ill.

Based in Hollywood Park, Texas, Buffets operates a chain of buffet-style restaurants. The company reentered Chapter 11 on March 7 under the case number 16-50557.
