Benin plans inaugural benchmark dollar-denominated bond offering

Chicago, Feb. 1 – The Republic of Benin (B1/B+) will be soon selling its first dollar-denominated bond issue, according to a market source.

The deal is expected to be benchmark size with a 13-year weighted average life, or a 14-year final maturity.

In-person and virtual meetings started in London on Thursday and move to New York on Monday.

Citi, JPMorgan and Societe Generale will be the joint bookrunners for the Rule 144A and Regulation S offering.
