Abengoa Bioenergy sees $1.74 million operating loss for May, no sales

Pittsburgh, June 22 – Abengoa Bioenergy US Holding LLC reported a $1.74 million operating loss for May on zero sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Abengoa posted an $801 operating loss for April, also on zero sales.

The net loss for May was $104,415, narrowing from a $129,570 April net loss.

In addition, the company had $4.04 million in cash as of May 31, down from $9.72 million at the end of April.

Based in Chesterfield, Mo., Abengoa Bioenergy is an ethanol producer. It filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 24 under the Chapter 11 case number 16-41161.
