Gurtin promotes Schuette to partner, co-head of portfolio management

Chicago, Feb. 8 – Gurtin Fixed Income Management, LLC promoted Thomas Schuette to partner and co-head of portfolio management, in an effort to integrate the company’s credit research and portfolio management businesses.

Schuette joined the company in 2009 and has assisted in the development of its independent credit research and an analyst training program.

He previously worked as an analyst in the U.S. regional public finance group of Moody's Investors Service, a senior budget analyst for Multnomah County, Ore. and a policy analyst for the St. Louis Region Council of Governments, according to a news release.

Gurtin Fixed Income is a Solana Beach, Calif.-based investment advisor specializing in high-grade tax-exempt and taxable fixed income portfolio management for high and ultra-high net worth clients.
