American Apparel U.S. Trustee appoints nine to creditors’ committee

Pittsburgh, Nov. 23 – American Apparel, LLC’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed on Nov. 22 by acting Region 3 U.S. Trustee Andrew R. Vara, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members are Rana Mitra and Don Choi of Atalaya Asset Income Fund I LP of New York; Claudia Kye of E & C Fashion, Inc. of Los Angeles; Ronald M. Tucker of Simon Property Group, based in Indianapolis; Jeff Hayward of Flintfox Consulting Group, Inc. of Auckland, New Zealand; Wei Wang of Andari Fashion Inc. of El Monte, Calif.; Darren Bidishi of Mediamath, Inc. of New York; and Angela Ferrante and Scott Nader of Garden City Group, LLC of New York.

American Apparel is a Los Angeles-based manufacturer, distributor and retailer of branded fashion basic apparel. The company filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 14 under Chapter 11 case number 16-12551.
