Seward & Kissel hires bankruptcy attorney Gayda in New York office

Chicago, Jan. 21 – Seward & Kissel LLP announced it has hired bankruptcy attorney Robert J. Gayda as counsel in the firm’s bankruptcy and reorganization group in New York.

Gayda most recently was of counsel with Chadbourne & Parke LLP’s bankruptcy and financial restructuring group and served with the Royal Bank of Scotland’s global restructuring group from 2009-2010, according to a news release.

Gayda has represented clients, including agents for lender groups, banks, bondholders, creditors’ committees, hedge funds and insurance companies, in bankruptcy litigation and all phases of restructuring. He also advised clients on distressed asset investments.

Seward & Kissel is a New York-based law firm with primary practices in corporate finance, investment management and litigation.
