Louisiana Pellets postpones auction and asset sale objection deadline

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Feb. 28 – Louisiana Pellets, Inc.’s auction has been postponed to March 9 from March 2, according to a notice filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

Objections to the asset sale are now due by 6 p.m. ET on March 10, pushed back from March 7.

The company said the changes were made after consulting with its bond trustee and the official committee of unsecured creditors.

The sale hearing is scheduled for March 14.

Based in Urania, La., Louisiana Pellets manufactures wood pellets. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 18, 2016 under Chapter 11 case number 16-80162.
