Sherwin Alumina posts $6.85 million net loss for month ended May 31

Pittsburgh, June 21 – Sherwin Alumina Co., LLC posted a $6.85 million net loss for May on $18.4 million in revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Those figures showed a decline from the $3.49 million net loss reported for April on $21.59 million in revenue.

In addition, Sherwin had $9.22 million in cash as of May 31, up from $8.02 million at the end of April.

Sherwin, a Gregory, Texas-based alumina producer, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 11, 2016. The Chapter 11 case number is 16-20012.
