Moody’s applies Baa1 to easyJet, notes

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa1 long-term issuer rating to easyJet plc, a provisional Baa1 senior unsecured rating to its £3 billion medium-term note program and a Baa1 rating to its proposed senior unsecured bond.

The outlook is stable.

"The Baa1 long-term issuer rating reflects easyJet's strong positioning as one of the largest European point-to-point airlines with a dense route network and leading positions at many top airports, coupled with its resilient business model throughout the economic cycle, and very strong financial profile and conservative financial policy," Sven Reinke, Moody's vice president, senior credit officer and lead analyst for easyJet, said in a news release.
