By Tanya Meyer

Chicago, Jan. 5 – Gimme Credit LLC announced that market news veteran Michael Connor has been appointed as chief executive officer. He will also join the company’s board.

In addition to overseeing management and strategic planning, Connor will lead the company’s expansion in covering corporate bonds worldwide, according to a news release.

Gimme Credit recently launched its emerging markets service, providing daily research reports, analyst data sheets and forecasts, with offices in Bangkok, Singapore and Tel Aviv.

“In the current global corporate bond market environment, independent fundamental research can add more value for investors than ever,” said Carol Levenson, Gimme Credit’s director of research, in a news release. “We are expanding our research platform to identify the best opportunities worldwide and help our clients avoid the pitfalls.”

Connor was most recently chief executive officer for 22 years of Market News International, now the news division of Deutsche Boerse. He was also head of strategic accounts and Asia operations in the market data & analytics division of Deutsche Boerse. Before Market News International he was head of the strategic and financial planning group in the corporate bond division of Moody’s Investors Service.

Gimme Credit is a New York-based provider of independent corporate bond research and investment recommendations.
