S&P affirms Ambev

S&P said it affirmed its BBB global scale and brAAA national scale corporate credit ratings on Ambev SA.

The outlook remains stable.

The agency said the affirmation reflects Ambev's ability to maintain strong credit metrics despite Brazil's weak economy, the company's main market.

“This stems from Ambev's leading market position, strong brand and geographic diversification with fairly stable volumes in Canada and a more favorable growth in other Latin American and Caribbean countries,” S&P said in a news release.
