Serta Simmons official committee of unsecured creditors appointed

Olympia, Wash., Feb. 10 – Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed by Region 7 U.S. trustee Kevin M. Epstein, according to a notice filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

The members are Leggett & Platt, Inc., based in Carthage, Mo., Sinomax-USA, Inc., based in Houston, A Lava & Son Co., based in Chicago, BekaertDeslee USA Inc., based in Winston-Salem, N.C., Carpenter Co., based in Richmond, Va., Ryder Truck Rental Inc., based in Miami, and Joshua Brooks, based in St. Louis, Mo.

Serta, an Advent International portfolio company, is an Atlanta-based manufacturer and distributor of mattresses. It filed bankruptcy on Jan. 23 under Chapter 11 case number 23-90020.
