S&P puts Beckman on developing watch
Standard & Poor's said it placed Beckman Coulter Inc.'s BBB rating on CreditWatch with developing implications.
The company is reportedly weighing strategic options that include a potential sale.
The developing CreditWatch implications reflect the likelihood of a downgrade should Beckman be acquired by a private-equity firm and the likelihood of an upgrade if it is acquired by a much higher rated entity, S&P said.
