S&P assigns A to Saudi Electric sukuk

S&P said it assigned its preliminary A rating to the U.S. dollar trust certificates to be issued by Saudi Electric Co. under its $6 billion sukuk program.

The rating is based on the evaluation that the sukuk fulfills the five conditions for the agency to rate the certificates, S&P said.

The outlook is stable.
