Bear Stearns' BearLinx Alerian index notes to move to NYSE Arca

By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Dec. 17 - NYSE Euronext said the BearLinx Alerian MLP Select index exchange-traded notes will transfer from the NYSE to the NYSE Arca listing and trading platform.

The notes are schedule to move before the open on Dec. 31.

The planned market consolidation will improve cost, efficiency and market performance, according to a news release.

NYSE Arca lists and trades more than 240 exchange-traded funds and ETNs, the release said.

BearLinx Alerian MLP Select index ETNs are issued by the Bear Stearns Cos. Inc. and are linked to the Alerian MLP Select index, which is published by Standard & Poor's in consultation with Alerian Capital Management LLC.
