BearingPoint operating loss slips to $4.24 million in October

Pittsburgh, Nov. 30 - BearingPoint, Inc. posted a $4.24 million operating loss for October on $689,000 in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
The figures showed a decline from the $2.32 million operating loss reported in September on $1.21 million in revenues.
The net loss for October was $38.9 million, widening significantly from a $570,000 September net loss.
BearingPoint had $27.84 million in cash and cash equivalents at Oct. 31, down from $44.78 million at the end of September.
BearingPoint, a McLean, Va.-based provider of management and technology consulting services, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 18, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10691.
