Quercus ups stake in Beacon Power

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 17 - The Quercus Trust bought 893,233 shares of Beacon Power Corp. between Oct. 8 and Oct. 10 priced from $2.01 to $2.19 each.

The transactions were reported in a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Quercus owns 8,957,480 shares, or 11.7%, of the Wilmington, Mass.-based company's common stock. Beacon develops products and services to support electricity grid operation.
