Philippines’ BDO Unibank gets $50 million green facility via JBIC

Morgantown, W.Va., Aug. 3 – BDO Unibank, Inc. announced that the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has approved a $50 million green facility for BDO to relend to environment-related projects focused mainly on renewable energy in the Philippines.

Specifically, the facility will bankroll projects that contribute to lessening greenhouse gas emissions.

The banks entered into an agreement for the facility on Wednesday.

BDO Unibank is a Makati City, Philippines-based bank.
