Haggen records $6.63 million operating loss for April 22 to May 19

Pittsburgh, June 17 – Haggen Holdings LLC reported a $6.63 million loss from operations for the period of April 22 to May 19 on $46.68 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

In comparison, Haggen posted a $4.69 million loss from operations for the period of March 25 to April 21 on $48.15 million in net sales.

The net loss for the latest period was $13.79 million, narrowing from a $20.71 million net loss for the previous period.

Additionally, Haggen had $47.18 million in cash and cash equivalents as of May 19, down from $54.51 million at April 21.

Based in Bellingham, Wash., Haggen is a supermarket company. It filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 8, 2015 under Chapter 11 case number 15-11874.
