Bethlehem, Pa., Oct. 23 – Haggen Holdings LLC’s official committee of unsecured creditors requested court approval to retain Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP as counsel, retroactive to Sept. 21, according to a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones’ attorneys will be responsible for assisting, advising and representing the committee in its consultations with the company regarding the Chapter 11 cases; retention of professionals and advisers; sale of company assets; negotiation, formulation or objection to any plan of liquidation or reorganization; powers and duties under the Bankruptcy Code; and investigating the acts, conduct, assets, liabilities and financial condition of the company and its operations.

Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones’ attorneys and paralegals will be paid an hourly rate from $275 to $1,145.

A hearing on the motion is scheduled for Nov. 13.

Haggen, a Bellingham, Wash.-based supermarket company, filed bankruptcy on Sept. 8. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-11874.
