Viavi Solutions to price $400 million eight-year notes on Friday; initial talk 4% area

Portland, Ore., Sept. 23 – Viavi Solutions Inc. plans to price a $400 million offering of eight-year senior notes on Friday, according to market sources.

The deal, which was scheduled to be presented to investors on a Thursday conference call, is in the market with initial guidance in the 4% area.

Wells Fargo Securities LLC is the left bookrunner. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC are the joint bookrunners.

The Rule 144A and Regulation S for life notes become callable after three years at par plus 50% of the coupon.

The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based manufacturer of testing and monitoring equipment for networks plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.
