Moody's: BBVA Chile A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 global foreign currency senior debt rating to BBVA Chile's proposed issuance of Certificados Bursatiles, totaling Mx $2 billion. Moody's de Mexico assigned an Aaa.mx debt rating on the Mexican national scale to the issuance.

The issuance will have a three-year maturity and will be governed by Mexican law, according to Moody's.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's said the A2 global foreign currency senior debt rating is in line with BBVA Chile's A2 local currency deposit rating and is unconstrained by Moody's Aa1 Chilean foreign currency country ceiling for bonds and notes.
