Moody's assigns Baa2 to Hewlett Packard Enterprise's notes

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 rating to the proposed senior unsecured notes of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co.

“HPE’s Baa2 rating reflects the company's good market positions throughout a range of enterprise IT products offset by strong competitive pressures throughout its broad portfolio, that will limit revenue growth over the next few years and result in adjusted EBITDA margins of around 16%,” said Richard Lane, a Moody’s senior vice president, in a press release.

Proceeds are expected to refinance near-term maturities and to support the pending $1.4 billion acquisition of Cray Inc.

The outlook is stable.
