S&P rates Hewlett-Packard Enterprise notes BBB

S&P said it assigned its BBB issue-level rating to Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co.’s senior unsecured notes.

“We rate the new notes at the same level as our long-term issuer credit rating on the company. All of our other ratings on HPE remain unchanged,” S&P said in a press release.

The company will use the proceeds and cash on hand to complete the early redemption of its $3 billion of unsecured notes due in October as well as for other general corporate purposes.
