S&P: Knorr-Bremse to positive

Standard & Poor’s said it revised the outlook on Knorr-Bremse AG to positive from stable.

The agency also said it affirmed the company’s long-term corporate credit rating at A-.

The outlook revision reflects a view that Knorr-Bremse’s profitability will remain strong in 2015 and 2016, S&P said.

There is a one-in-three possibility that the agency could raise the rating on the company by one notch if its above-average profitability continues over the coming 18 months and if the company’s leverage metrics remain in line with its minimal financial risk profile, the agency said.

Knorr-Bremse also will continue to achieve solid free operating cash flow with management remaining committed to its conservative financial policy, S&P said.
