Fitch affirms Baxter

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Baxter International Inc.'s ratings as follows: issuer default rating at A, short-term issuer default rating at F1, senior unsecured notes at A, bank credit facility at A and commercial paper at F1.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said that the ratings reflect Baxter's continued improvement in its operating performance and its strong credit metrics, adding that EBITDA margins continue to improve due to pricing gains and improving product mix.
