Fitch might lift Allergan

Fitch Ratings said it placed the ratings of Allergan plc and its subsidiaries on rating watch positive.

The agency said the positive watch is supported by AbbVie's proposal to acquire Allergan and assume its debt obligations.

Fitch said it expects that the combined company will operate with a credit profile at least commensurate with a BBB- rating or potentially a BBB rating.
