Moody’s might up Allergan plc

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the Baa3 senior unsecured ratings of Allergan, Inc. and related entities under review for upgrade.

The agency said the action follows the announcement that AbbVie Inc. will acquire parent company Allergan plc in a transaction valued at about $63 billion plus acquired Allergan debt.

Moody's said its review of Allergan will consider the treatment by AbbVie of Allergan's debt obligations including any guarantees or support mechanisms.
