Morgan Stanley plans partial principal at risk notes due 2022 on basket

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 10 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% equity-linked partial principal at risk securities due Oct. 14, 2022 linked to a basket of indexes and an exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

The basket consists of the S&P 500 index with a 50% weight, Euro Stoxx Select Dividend 30 index with a 30% weight and the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF with a 20% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par of $1,000 plus at least 120% of any basket gain.

If the basket finishes flat or declines, investors will receive par plus the basket return, subject to a minimum payout of $950 per security.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent.

The notes will price on Oct. 11 and settle on Oct. 16.

The Cusip number is 61768DHP3.
