HSBC to redeem all 3.625% notes due 2020, 8.208% preferreds

Norfolk, Va., May 21 – HSBC Holdings plc is exercising its option to redeem all €700 million of its 3.625% callable subordinated notes due 2020 and HSBC Capital Funding (Sterling 1) LP will redeem all £500 million of its 8.208% noncumulative step-up perpetual preferred securities, according to two notices.

The 3.625% notes will be redeemed on June 29 and the 8.208% notes will be redeemed on June 30.

HSBC is a banking and financial services organization based in London.
