Baoding Tianwei misses coupon payment on 2011 second issue MTNs

Madison, Wis., April 21 – China’s Baoding Tianwei Group Co., Ltd. said it has not made the interest payment due on its 2011 second issue medium-term notes.

On April 14 the company issued a notice of extraordinary risk relating to the possible missed coupon.

According to an announcement on Monday, the company has not yet raised funds to cover the missed interest payment.

Baoding Tianwei is an enterprise group mainly focused on manufacturing power transformers. The company, owned by China South Industries Group Corp., is based in Baoding, China.
