S&P U.S. Preferred Stock index to decrease outstanding Qwest size

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 15 – S&P Dow Jones Indices will decrease the contribution to its S&P U.S. Preferred Stock index of Qwest Corp.’s 7.5% notes which trade under the ticker “CTW.”

The reduction will be 11.46 million notes, according to an announcement.

The action follows CenturyLink Inc.’s partial call of the outstanding shares of its Qwest notes.

For divisor calculation purposes, the partially called notes of CTW will be removed from the index at an adjusted price to reflect the par value of the note plus accrued interest paid through the redemption date.
