Windstream Holdings emerges from Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 21 – Windstream Holdings, Inc. emerged from bankruptcy, according to a Monday news release from Uniti Group Inc., which announced that its settlement with Windstream became effective concurrently with the emergence.

The settlement resolves and any all claims and causes of action that have been or may be asserted by Uniti and Windstream, including all litigation brought by Windstream and its creditors during Windstream’s bankruptcy proceedings, the release states.

Windstream’s Chapter 11 plan was confirmed on June 26.

Windstream is a Little Rock, Ark., telecommunications provider. The company filed bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Feb. 25, 2019 under Chapter 11 case number 19-22312.
