Idexx issues $150 million; Stolt-Nielsen places notes with AIG; Ymagis sells €36.5 million

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 19 – Idexx Laboratories, Inc. issued and sold $150 million of notes to Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.

The notes were issued as $75 million of 3.25% series A senior notes due Feb. 12, 2022 and $75 million of 3.72% series B senior notes due Feb. 12, 2027.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including repaying amounts outstanding under the company’s revolving credit facility.

Idexx, based in Westbrook, Maine, provides diagnostics and technologies for better veterinary care and safer food and water.

Stolt-Nielsen Ltd. closed a $250 million private placement with American International Group.

The private placement has a term of 10 years and is secured by the company's terminal in Houston.

Proceeds will be used to repay existing debt and for general corporate purposes.

London-based Stolt-Nielsen provides integrated transportation solutions for bulk liquid chemicals, edible oils, acids and other specialty liquids.

Ymagis SA completed a €36.5 million private placement of bonds to French and Belgian institutional investors.

The company placed €17.5 million of 4% bonds due February 2019 and €19 million of 4.25% bonds due February 2020.

The company said the placement will allow it to redeem €15.4 million of its Obsas, or obligation avec bon de souscription d’action, which come due in October, and to buy back €13.9 million of a subsidiary’s junior debt.

Paris-based Ymagis specializes in digital technology for the movie industry.
