By Sheri Kasprzak

New York, June 9 – Sabine Oil & Gas Corp. is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on its Chapter 11 plan, said a motion filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

If approved, the company will have until Oct. 7 to file its Chapter 11 plan and until Dec. 7 to solicit votes for the plan, extended by 120 days in each case.

A hearing on the matter will be scheduled at a later time, the motion said.

Formerly Forest Oil Corp., Sabine is an oil and gas company based in Houston that filed for bankruptcy on July 15, 2015 under Chapter 11 case number 15-11835.
