Sabine Oil and Gas plan issues mediator does not expect settlement

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, June 7 – Sabine Oil and Gas Corp.’s plan issues mediation is not expected to result in a mediated settlement, according to a report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York by court-appointed mediator Robert D. Drain.

Drain said the mediation was conducted on June 3.

As previously reported, the disclosure statement for Sabine’s plan of reorganization was approved by the court in April. The plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for June 13.

Formerly Forest Oil Corp., Sabine is an oil and gas company based in Houston that filed for bankruptcy on July 15, 2015. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-11835.
