Transamerica trusts name Bakker and Schaeffer co-lead portfolio managers of several high-yield funds

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 10 – Some Transamerica fixed-income, high-yield funds have named Kevin Bakker and James K. Schaeffer, Jr. as co-lead portfolio managers, according to separate 497 filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The affected funds are the Transamerica High Yield Bond, a series of Transamerica Funds; Transamerica Partners High Yield Bond and Transamerica Partners Institutional High Yield Bond, series of Transamerica Partners Funds Group and Transamerica Partners Funds Group, II, respectively; and Transamerica Aegon High Yield VP, a series of Transamerica Series Trust.

Benjamin D. Miller is continuing as portfolio manager of these funds, while Bradley J. Beman is no longer a portfolio manager.

The managers are employed by the funds’ subadviser, Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC.

St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Transamerica Asset Management, Inc. is the investment adviser to the funds.
