Barclays talks benchmark 10-year notes at 160 bps-165 bps spread; pricing Monday

Virginia Beach, March 9 – Barclays plc is planning to sell a benchmark offering of senior notes (A3/BBB) on Monday, according to an informed source and a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Price talk is set at 160 basis points to 165 bps over Treasuries.

Barclays is the bookrunner.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The financial services company is based in London.
