MEIF Renewable Energy starts roadshow for £190 million five-year notes

By Paul A. Harris

Portland, Ore., Jan. 26 – MEIF Renewable Energy UK plc began a roadshow on Monday in Edinburgh for a £190 million offering of five-year senior secured notes due 2020 (expected ratings Ba2/BB), according to a market source.

The roadshow continues on Tuesday and Wednesday in London.

Joint bookrunner Deutsche Bank will bill and deliver. Credit Suisse is also a joint bookrunner.

The Rule 144A and Regulation S notes come with two years of call protection.

The London-based generator of renewable energy plans to use the proceeds to repay its credit facilities in full and to partially repay the Parent Subordinated Shareholder Funding Instrument.
